I coach early- to mid-career women who want to make the world a better place.

Millennial women make up half of the global workforce.

The organizational imperative to support them is crystal clear.

You have these women on your team right now.

More than likely, they’re struggling with something: transitioning to a new role; struggling with interpersonal, power, or leadership dynamics; questioning their worth; teetering on the edge of burnout.

You want to support and retain them, but your in-house resources aren’t enough.

Coaching them is key to lowering their stress levels and increasing workplace confidence.

I’ll be their advocate and critical friend. They’ll emerge with more clarity about how they show up and lead in the workplace, and have concrete tools to cultivate their professional relationships, stride confidently towards their truth, and thrive.

And your team will be better for it.

I bring more than a decade of experience as a talent leader and coach, and a lifelong commitment to building up strong, social justice-oriented women leaders like you.

I customize my coaching to fit you and your aspirations by blending relevant aspects of holistic models (like this), goal-oriented models (like this), and equity-focused methods (like this).

For a three-month or longer period, we’ll regularly meet virtually.

I’ll listen carefully, ask tough questions, cultivate joy, show empathy, ask you to reflect, ground you in your values, push you to articulate the impact you want to have, and empower you with practical strategies to navigate the messiness of what it takes to succeed.

I’ll ask you to come prepared to each session with things like reflections, problems of practice, or artifacts, because you will actively shape your professional learning journey with me. Through it all, I center my coaching in a way that reflects and honors you as a Millenial woman with intersectional identities, all the while acknowledging my own biases and identities.

“After working with Lisa for a year now, I can recognize it as one of the most transformative relationships of my career.”

Claire Takhar, Consultant, Education First Consulting

  • Before I met Lisa, I would never have sought a coach—I had never invested in mentorship and thought that I had managed very well on my own. After working with her for a year now, I can recognize it as one of the most transformative relationships of my career to date. Lisa’s talent as a coach comes from how she seamlessly blends her authentic compassion, analytical mind, deep experience in the field, and endless belief in the potential of women to be powerful forces for social change.

In our sessions, Lisa listened deeply—not just to what I was saying, but understanding how it was making me feel and drawing connections between prior conversations to understand my underlying habits, mindsets and behaviors that were at play in my work. She was able to identify what aspects of my work style might be creating barriers for me and gave me specific methods of working on them. Once, I shared a problem I was facing at work where senior leadership was second-guessing my work and decisions. Lisa validated my feelings of frustration and, rather than taking the problem at face value, asked probing questions to help us discover the root causes of the problem. Over the course of our session, Lisa’s process led us to a discovery: I had only been focusing on sharing the “what” of my work with senior leadership instead of bringing them along for the “why” as well. From there, Lisa helped me think of concrete ways to start practicing this new style of communication—even down to how I could word an email I needed to send that night. That discovery and Lisa’s extremely specific advice has transformed my practice and strengthened my communication with senior leadership; now, my communication is smooth and I am seen as a strong candidate for promotion.

Beyond coaching to improve my own practice, Lisa is a master at separating the things within my sphere of influence and the things that are not, whether they were aspects of the work environment, quirks of interpersonal relationships, or simply tasks that fall in someone else’s job description. As a first-generation college student, I muscled my way into success in part by allowing my job to cross my personal and professional boundaries, often by taking on tasks and responsibilities that were not in my job description. Lisa provoked a profound shift in this mindset. With her coaching, I’ve been able to keep myself open to the opportunities that come with stretching myself into new roles without also taking on the burden of someone else’s job or feeling unnecessarily accountable for things that are not my responsibility. This support has been among the most valuable for me, as Lisa’s analysis has helped me to work more efficiently and navigate a political work environment smoothly while continuing to position myself for growth.

Lisa’s support has been empathetic, experienced, and rigorous. She’s held me accountable to my own growth—both the long-term work of shifting my mindsets to be more compassionate and strategic as well as the short-term work of using new tools to strengthen my day-to-day practice. As a result of working with her, I have language, ideas, mindsets, goals, and tools to help me navigate my current role and a clear vision of how I want to grow within my organization to increase my impact.

To mitigate financial barriers to us working together, I’ll work with you to incentivize and encourage your employer to pay for our work.

I offer an optional, free 20 minute meet-and-greet so we can introduce ourselves and assess whether my services and approach will be a good fit for you.

Once we decide we’re a match, I charge $1,500/month for a minimum of three months, which includes:

  • Ninety minute initial consultation that focuses on understanding you as an intersectional woman and professional, and learning about your organizational context

  • Ninety minute sessions every other week

  • One ad-hoc one-hour appointment per month to help you work through issues as they arise

  • Access to me via text during agreed upon hours when you need a nudge or a quick take on a situation

For returning women, I customize plans that meet their unique, ongoing needs. If you truly feel that $1,500 per month is out of reach, let’s talk—I’m willing to work on a sliding scale.
